Followmont Transport has taken delivery of two UD Croners, with another unit to arrive next week.
The latest 14-pallet rigid trucks are bound for Newcastle and Townsville where they will be used in local operations.
With the addition of these two units, Followmont Transport has this year alone taken a total delivery of six UD rigids.
The third Croner set to complete the order will mark Followmont Transport’s 163rd UD truck in operation across the business.
“We have a mix of mostly Quon and Croner in our UD fleet and find the trucks incredibly reliable and durable,” Followmont Transport COO, Ross Longmire, told Prime Mover.
“We took delivery of four in the first half, with one of these being our purple UD Quon that we unveiled as part of our International Women’s Day celebration, promoting diversity in transport.”
“Next week we will receive that last unit in this order and will then move to finalise our FY24 order for all fleet.”
According to Longmire, the UDs are a favourite among drivers.
“The UDs are not just a product that our team enjoy driving, but they also provide improved fuel efficiency,” he said.
“They are a product we will continue to use in our business and will form part of our ongoing investment for future growth.
“Once again, thanks to the work of our partners at Minibody, the units are in immaculate condition and will be put straight to work across our network.”
