Hino Australia has been recognised by parent company Hino Motors with a 15th successive Parts Department of the Year Award and a 12th consecutive Service Department of the Year Award.

The Parts Excellence Award is awarded to a small number of distributors that demonstrated overall excellence including ensuring a consistently high supply of parts to dealerships and customers.

“These accolades, in addition to receiving the Parts Excellence Award for the third time, reinforce the outstanding commitment that our tireless team of dealers and head office staff have to our customers,” said Greg Bleasel, Vice President – Product Support for Hino Australia.

“We are proud to again receive these awards and they will continue to motivate us to constantly improve,” he said.

Featuring innovative technology and almost twice the capacity of the previous facility, Hino’s new Parts Distribution Centre (PDC) provides it with the flexibility to further improve efficiencies with the distribution of Hino Genuine Parts across the dealer network.

Opening in 2021, the PDC has helped facilitate record-breaking part sales growth of 15 per cent year-on-year according to Bleasel.

“Its increased capacity allows us to store a wider range of Hino Genuine Parts, including larger components such as engines and cab assemblies,” he said.

“Our service network of committed Hino dealers continues to deliver exceptional support to our customers, which is complemented by our comprehensive technical training program that ensure our Hino technicians maintain, diagnose and repair our vehicles in the most efficient way possible.

Bleasel said there had been strong recent emphasis on Hybrid Electric training to support the significant increase of 300 Series Hybrid Electric sales over the past 12 months.

“Recruitment and retention of local and overseas technicians remains a key focus for Hino Australia, and we encourage qualified and aspiring technicians to contact their local dealership to discuss employment opportunities,” he said.
