The push to decarbonize transportation can be intimidating for fleet managers who operate heavy- and medium-duty trucks. How will the industry reduce both tailpipe and greenhouse gas emissions? What will that mean for the internal combustion engine? What about charging and fueling infrastructure? How can fleets afford this new technology?
The three-part Road to Zero webinar series will work to answer these questions and others. Managers of all sizes and types of fleets will glean important information and ideas to help them on their journey to greener fleet operations.
HDT editors will moderate a panel of experts for each installment, including fleets that are ahead of the curve in emissions reduction and truck electrification, as well as consultants sand associations that work with fleets on these goals.
Part 1
Drawing a Road Map to Emissions Reduction
The journey to lower and even zero emissions will be different for every fleet. What are the first steps fleets should take to evaluate their operations, options, and resources? How can they start setting goals? How do they measure progress?
HDT’s top editor, Deborah Lockridge, will moderate a panel discussion featuring fleet managers who can share their experiences in developing goals and the path forward. In addition, the North American Council for Freight Efficiency will share insights from its recent “messy middle” report on a framework for powertrain decision-making, a thoughtful process to decide how and when to decarbonize through zero-emission trucks, alternative fuels, and working on efficiency to burn less fuel.
Live attendees will have an opportunity to ask the panel questions.
