LEGO Mack vying for world record

Mack Trucks Australia is planning to mark its 60th anniversary with a giant, record-breaking, LEGO Mack Truck Anthem replica.

In honour of six decades of truck building in Brisbane’s western corridor, the Mack team is taking on one million of the tiny bricks to create the Guinness World Record’s “largest truck made with LEGO pieces.”

The replica will be unveiled at the Brisbane Truck Show next month.

While a real Mack Anthem truck takes eight days to build, this LEGO version will take about two months, with the project led by an official ‘Brick Builder.’

“Big kids and little kids love Mack Trucks,” said Mack Trucks Australia Vice President, Tom Chapman, adding that building a LEGO version on home soil is a fun way to celebrate being Australian made.

The LEGO Mack Truck will be transported to Southbank Parklands for the Brisbane Truck Show from May 18 to 21, and Australia Made Week from May 15 to 21.

The final piece of the build will be a LEGO version of the famous Mack bulldog, which will be added to the hood on 19th May.
