If you’re in the market for a luxury SUV, the 2023 Infiniti QX50 is an often overlooked but excellent option. As a luxury compact SUV, there is a lot to like about the QX50. It’s not very often experts agree on which version of a vehicle is the best. However, for the compact Infiniti, experts like Edmunds and Car and Driver recommend buying the same trim level. Experts agree on the best 2023 Infiniti QX50 trim, the Sport model.

What is the best 2023 Infiniti QX50 trim?

You’ll likely notice a trend if you research cars online before purchasing. For the most part, experts and critics will disagree on the best vehicle trim level for several reasons. That’s why when a few agree on which version is best, it probably means it really is a stand-out model. Moreover, the experts at Edmunds and Car and Driver think the Sport model is the best 2023 Infiniti QX50 trim.

Out of five trim levels in the lineup, the QX50 Sport is the mid-tier version of the luxury compact SUV. For many buyers, highlights of the QX50 are its stylish interior and exterior, spacious cabin, and smooth ride. Fortunately, these highlights are true for every version of the Infiniti model. As a result, any QX50 trim is viable, but the Sport trim is the best one to buy for a few reasons.

Edmunds recommends the QX50 Sport trim

First, Edmunds loves the 2023 Infiniti QX50 Sport. The most significant reason is that it “strikes the best balance of features and price.” Not only does the Sport trim have everything from the Luxe model, but it also gains premium leather upholstery, heated/cooled front seats, a Bose audio system, and a surround-view camera system. The best model starts at $49,695, which is roughly $8,000 more than the Pure base model. Adding all the Sport extras to the already well-equipped Pure and Luxe trims makes the QX50 a shockingly well-equipped compact luxury SUV for the price.

Similarly, Car and Driver also think the best 2023 Infiniti QX50 trim is the Sport model. The publication says it is the best value in the lineup. C/D believes it has the best standard equipment since it adds heated/cooled front seats, in-dash navigation, interior ambient lighting, and more to the Luxe trim’s features. Plus, all-wheel drive is optional on most models, which is available for $2,000.

It’s also worth noting that buyers get a sporty, blacked-out trim with the Sport model. It has black exterior accents, a black grille, black roof rails, and dark wheels. Many automakers charge extra for a whole different trim level or package to get blacked-out features like these, so the QX50 Sport including them provides excellent value. Buyers uninterested in black accents can opt for the lower Luxe or higher Sensory trim, depending on if they want more features or a lower price.

The best 2023 Infiniti QX50 trim to buy

In conclusion, the 2023 Infiniti QX50 Sport is the best trim to buy. The luxury compact SUV is a well-equipped and upscale in all its forms, even the cheapest base model. However, the Sport trim adds more technology and amenities and makes the QX50 more luxurious than most buyers expect. Additionally, the Sport trim is blacked-out with dark exterior accents, toughening the overall look of the vehicle. That’s why experts agree that the Sport model is the best version of the 2023 Infiniti QX50.
