HDT Announces 2022 Top Green Fleets – Fuel Smarts

Heavy Duty Trucking’s editors honored 20 fleets for their leadership in sustainability efforts, from fuel efficiency to electric trucks.

Heavy Duty Trucking has named the 2022 Top Green Fleets, which identifies some of the greenest fleets in the country.

The Top Green Fleets — selected annually by HDT’s editors — honors leaders in sustainability efforts among all sizes and types of trucking fleets, in areas such as fleet electrification; alternative and renewable fuels; cleaner-burning engines; fuel efficiency; freight efficiency; “green” facilities; and testing new sustainable technologies.

In alphabetical order, this year’s honorees are:

  2. AJR Trucking — Compton, California
  3. Benore Logistics Systems — Greer, South Carolina
  4. Boyle Transportation — Billerica, Massachusetts
  5. City of Columbus Fleet Management Division — Columbus, Ohio
  6. City of Long Beach — Long Beach, California
  7. Detmar Logistics — San Antonio, Texas
  8. GreenPath Logistics — Dallas, Texas
  9. Knight-Swift Transportation — Phoenix, Arizona
  10. Matheson — Sacramento, California
  11. M&M Cartage — Louisville, Kentucky
  12. Meijer Logistics — Lansing, Michigan
  13. NFI — Camden, New Jersey
  14. Nussbaum Transportation — Hudson, Illinois
  15. Old Dominion Freight Line — Thomasville, North Carolina
  16. Penske Logistics — Reading, Pennsylvania
  17. PGT Trucking — Aliquippa, Pennsylvania
  18. Ruan Transportation — Des Moines, Iowa
  19. TCI Transportation — Commerce, California
  20. Werner Enterprises —Omaha, Nebraska
